Scoreboard User Guide
Welcome to Scoreboard.best — a cloud scoring system built for small events, school leagues, and live production crews. No special hardware needed. Start a professional-grade scoreboard with just a phone and a browser.
1. Quick start: launch a match in three steps
Step 1: choose a sport and template
On the homepage tap Create match and choose your sport (basketball, soccer, squash, and more). Each sport has specially designed templates you can preview and pick to match your screen or stream.
Step 2: scan the control QR code
On the admin page you will see a control QR code. The scorer scans it with a phone to open the control panel for live plus/minus scoring, clock control, and timeout management. Every change syncs to every display in milliseconds.
Step 3: display on multiple screens
Send the display link to a venue screen, or copy the OBS transparent link into a browser source. Our templates support a transparent background so the scoreboard overlays cleanly on your live stream.
2. Core features
- Multi-screen sync: One control panel drives multiple displays, such as a venue screen plus an OBS stream.
- Sponsor branding: Upload sponsor logos and edit the match name from the control panel; they appear live at the top of the scoreboard.
- Undo on mistakes: Made a scoring error? Tap Undo to quickly reverse the last action.
- Sport-specific rules: Squash automatically uses PAR scoring (11 points, win by 2, best of 5); basketball provides a 24/14-second shot clock.
3. OBS advanced usage for broadcast crews
For live crews we recommend enabling transparent background mode. After copying the OBS link in the control panel, add it as a browser source in OBS:
- Set width to 1920 and height to 1080.
- Tick control audio via OBS if needed.
- Our templates handle entry and exit animations automatically.
